A short introduction into my world...

I grew up in Uvalde, Texas enjoying all the perks of being raised in a small town near the Frio River, but by age eighteen, I couldn't wait for a change of scenery.  Six hours from home and all on my own I braved a short lived college experience at Texas Tech.  While I didn't accomplish everything I hoped I might, I surrounded myself with creative insipiring people and started exploring the art of photography.

Being out on my own taught me a lot about myself.  I learned that I am moved by sweet conversation in the morning over coffee, traveling, dining outdoors, and the smell of fall.  I love hardwood floors, boutique shopping, retro furniture, being inspired and overwhelmed with ideas, getting my hands dirty in the garden, girls night out, and all the beautiful people i call family.  I crave being downtown and exploring old architecture and urban life, sitting in a coffee shop and enjoying a hot latte in the middle of the afternoon.

I have three passions: One is obviously photography and the thrill of capturing real moments.  Another is the green and sustainable living movements, and their idea of taking what we have and being responsible with it.  The most important passion is also my ministry of raising my two sweet boys, Noah and Oliver, into amazing men of God, and experiencing life with Marlowe, my husband, my creative visionary and my love at first site.

Today I am totally blown away by the Lord's favor and grace in my life, and together Marlowe and I want to create a canvas so big and beautiful and full of the love of Jesus, the whole world will see.  My name is Beth Downing, and I am so excited about shooting alongside Kristin at weddings, solo photo shoots and sharing my work with you.
